In mid-2016, Association of Donor Relations Professionals (ADRP) required multiple creative deliverables for their 13th annual conference. The ADRP Conference serves hundreds of donor relations and stewardship professionals who gather to learn about the latest developments and trends in the profession. The 13th annual conference in 2016 was hosted in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.
project scopeConference identity
ADRP requested the following components to be incorporated into the conference’s visual identity: the traditional Pittsburgh colors of black and gold, bridge imagery, playful & modern, with a tagline of Forging the Future.
Pittsburgh is the city of bridges, each with their own unique style. I narrowed my focus on the Fort Duquesne Bridge, infamously known as “The Bridge to Nowhere,” as a large span remained unfinished for years before its completion. An incomplete bridge/project tells the viewer that something needs to be completed - or forged - in the future, especially in a city known for its steel production. Additional bridges were also used as design elements throughout the print pieces.
